The documentary shows how incredible it was that the whole thing came together. I may have to watch it again.

I got to be Bono on “Do They Know It’s Christmas” several years ago for a church choir Christmas concert. I’ll never forget it. ❤️

You got to be Bono. I love it. The last time I was in a church pageant I was the angelGabriel. I was six or seven. And I got the flu beforehand, so never got to foretell the coming of the Lord!

I cried, and then thought about my life and how I've tried to make the world a better place.

Julie, thank you for sharing that beautiful memory. MommaJudy

Thank you, Julie. I just watched the documentary about the making of "We Are the World," and was transported back to a more hopeful time.

During the Bob Geldorf Live Aid Concert, I was driving across Ireland , going from somewhere to somewhere else, with a few girlfriends. We turned the volume WAY up and sang our hearts out. When we stopped in pubs for food and drink, huge TVs broadcast the concert and we sang some more. We did not stop smiling for two days. Good times.

Ahhhhh such a core GenX memory. "Come together as one" is such a great wish - HOPE - especially now. I just added the documentary to my watch list. Thanks, Julie.
