September absolutely flew by for me (how bout you?) But I did manage to note a few things that really rang my bell this month. And I want to pass them along to you.

They include:

  • Some Advice

  • A Book

  • A Show

  • A Sound

  • A Beverage

  • Some Art

Without further ado…

The Advice

I try to keep up with social media because frankly there’s such good ADVICE, on both Instagram and TikTok in particular. Here are two pieces of advice that tugged at my heart recently.

The first speaks to the grief and loneliness we can feel when someone praises us for strength or resilience without asking about the underlying thing that is so hard to deal with. The second speaks to the utter bewilderment and paralysis we can feel when we’re helpers who are overwhelmed by the degree of need in the world. Both of these touched me personally. I hope they help you feel less alone. Drop your thoughts in the comments.
