Julie’s Pod comes with an advice column called “Dear Julie,” which I pull together from the various requests for help that come my way. In “Dear Julie” I share the person’s concern (with personal identifiers removed), my response, the rationale for my response, and what I call the bottom line, which is a succinct summary of what is at stake. So, you’re welcome to pull up a chair and sit with me by the digital fire to listen and learn from this exchange. You’ll just need to be a paid subscriber to access it, and if you’re not one already, you can take care of that below.
What can you get from an advice column? Well, you just might learn a thing or two that can help you or someone you care about. It might also make you feel good to see that we all struggle with different things and that you’re not alone in facing big questions on your journey.
The Concern:
Today’s concern is from a twenty-year old male college student who wants to transfer to a different school. He has two options, has received a ton of advice about which one he should pick, and yet for some reason he can’t make up his mind. The advice I give him can actually be extrapolated to what college to choose in the first place, and even to making choices about what job to take. This is ultimately about how to make a good decision about something deeply important to you.
